RE: [off-topic] IBM S50 Thinkcenter

Don't buy ThinkCentre's with Pentium 4's

The heat builds up too quick inside and the fans can't get it out in
time. The original BIOS doesn't enable thermal throttling on the CPU,
and delays the fan spinup long enough to overheat the CPU in summer. We
replaced a whole bunch of these machines because summer is on it's way
again and without air-conditioning, they'll crash during the day.

That said, we replaced them with newer CoreDuo machines with Lenovo
badges. They run fine.
